2026 Openings
There is a wonderful opportunity for members of the DMNT DPG. If you are an active member of the Academy, a current member of the DMNT DPG, you are not simultaneously holding an elected position within another DPG/MIG or an elected position at the Academy of nutrition and dietetics, the DMNT nominating committee invites members to consider running for the elected or appointed position to serve as a DMNT leader for the 2026-2027 year. Leadership term begins June 1, 2026.
DMNT has both elected and appointed positions open starting in 2026. These are an excellent opportunity for you to get involved, develop skills, network with leaders in the field, and add a competitive edge to your resume. The Dietitians in Medical Nutrition Therapy has many experts in our community and would love to hear from you. DMNT strives to host at least five webinars per year. These are offered free of charge to all DMNT members. Read below to learn about the two webinar types that are available and how to submit a webinar proposal.
Educational Webinar
Because this webinar is educational in nature, we do not allow for the presenter to promote any products or services during the webinar. That means you would be allowed the following:
- Short Bio read at the beginning of the presentation by the Moderator
- Slide with Presenter’s picture, email, website, Social handles. No promotional products on this slide/including logos.
Each Presenter will receive a $200 Honorarium from DMNT if not a DMNT Board Member or appointed position. The honorarium will be forfeited at the discretion of DMNT board if promo materials are included. Please note, if two presenters participate in the webinar, each presenter will receive $100 each.
Sponsored Webinar
This webinar is educational in nature, where the speaker will present on designated topic and engage with the audience through a Q & A session, but the presenter will pay a sponsorship fee to provide promotion of a product or service they may offer. The Corporate Sponsor fee for non-DMNT members is $3000.00 with the fee for DMNT members set at $500.00. If interested we will put you in touch with the DMNT sponsorship chair to help coordinate.
Each sponsor is allotted:
- 3-5 minutes to speak of products or services
- 1-3 promotional slides to present the specific product or service they are offering
Steps for Webinar Proposal Submission
Send an email of interest to the member benefits chair, Mary Kay Skarrett, and the chair, Jyoti Benjamin. In your email of interest be sure to include:
- Your name & credentials
- Current CV
- Proposed webinar title
- Brief description of your webinar and objectives
